Mobile phone coverage problems: Marc
Clement and Jaafar Elmirghani have both
left the university and nobody in their old department was able to help.
Jerry to contact Pete Deacon to see if DECT phones would provide better
coverage throughout the campus. - ACTION: JERRY VC's Cutting Edge list: Jerry to contact SMT to request that the FR scheme be added to the VC's "cutting edge" list. - ACTION: JERRY |

| Ambulance Service
Training: Jeremy is hoping to "piggy-back" our training onto a
training course being arranged by Pennard First Responders. This will be on
a Saturday. Date to follow. University Training: Pertinent courses, i.e. Talkdown/Breakaway and Manual Handling will appear in the soon to be published prospectus on SDU's web pages. |

| Using the Diabetes page from the Pennard First Responder website as a template the group ran through the causes, signs & symptoms and treatment for casualties suffering a hyperglycaemic and hypoglycaemic attacks. | |

Jerry to ask Steve Roberts to confirm that we are still
eligible to operate as first responders, even though some have not received
refresher training within 6 months of the initial training course. -
ACTION: JERRY Jerry to see if we could borrow a Resus Annie from the safety office and the practice defib from the ambulance service (or St John's Ambulance) for future monthly meetings. - ACTION: JERRY Jerry to check if first responders can attend the monthly 30:2 meetings in the SDU. - ACTION: JERRY Jerry to see if the size of First Responders' mail boxes can be increased to prevent the failure of emails in the future. - ACTION: JERRY |
